GPS? 911 is mandated by FCC to use street address to attain "dispatchable location" not GPS. GPS requires accurate height (z-axis) causing so much error the FCC is only targeting errors within 50 meters as the goal presently. In cul-de-sacs and irregular lot layouts, GPS can be especially inaccurate. Curb numbers give immediate, precise visual ID — vital for emergency response.
